It'll have to be opened up and all traces of the spill removed.  Cola is especially nasty on electronics, it'll sit there months after it dries out and gradually eat away circuit board traces.

I do have a call into Yamaha and will be waiting to see what they suggest in regards to replacing vs cleaning. I will more than likely swap out the pcb board and the effected faders as this console is only 5 months old BUT what would be a good cleaner for pcb boards to clean something like this?  And is there a good practice method?

Mild dishwashing soap (not detergents), a toothbrush or acid brush, distilled water for rinsing, hair dryer.

The faders should be replaced.

As your desk is still under warranty, this work should be done by a Yamaha-authorized service center.  My guess is it will cost you $150-$200 plus transport.  Send the bill to the club - their employee, their cocktails.  And good luck...

A club I worked at had an angry drunk band member toss a beer into their LS9-32. They sent it right into Yamaha without even booting it up again.

Just out of curiosity, when stuff like this happens, has anyone ever been able to get financial compensation for the damages?

The offender paid for sure, in the situation I mentioned.

Is the waitress OK?

If a waitress did that to my LS9, she would probably be pushing up daisies.
