Ultimate Support JamStands
« on: September 21, 2012, 10:04:05 PM »

My review:

After trying them, in a pinch, and thinking because we would be handling them ourselves and thus should expect reasonable performance, I can now say:

I believe if I set one up with no load on it, the stand would ultimately disintegrate and collapse under the force of gravity.

End of review.

Okay, so without the sugar coating you're actually saying what exactly....

I assume you mean the speaker stands, or are you referring to the mic stands? There seems to be a whole bunch of stuff in the JamStand line, from horn stands to carts.

Yes, the speaker stands.  I delivered 8 to the dumpster after 7 weeks of use.
I'm sure some entrepreneur will retrieve them and take them to the "I buy metal" guy.

The "Jam" in "JamStand" denotes the situation you'll be in when you try and use them more than once.......

That is disappointing, although we all know quality among different models and levels within one brand can vary a lot. I have had very good experience so far with the Ultimate Support TS-90 and TS-99 stands, looks like that is not generalizable to their lower JamStand line.

Add the mic stands to the review, in the same column. Absolute crap.

Fixed it for you.  Worse than nothing at all.  Absolutely useless.

Ditto.  Glad I only have one.  Last one out of the bag - does that it's lasting?
