What strange creatures we audio folks are. I spent almost an hour enjoying each and every photo. Thank you!

Dennis Wiggins:
This is system that I heard at the "Super Bowl of Rock" at Soldiers Field, Chicago in 1977.  That stack was behind the stage, and and was as wide as the end field.  There were also three "surrounds" way up in the stands that made for pretty incredible effects!  I was on about the 50 yard line, in the middle.  Crazy good.
