Yes the entire content needs to be transfered/archived/migrated what ever you want to call it. Yes there are some post that are just a waste of space but there are many many many more that contain very useful information. Many times I have searched ( as well as the search would allow) to find some old info I wanted to read or reference.

I'm going to guess that the software guys implementing or forcing this new message on us are not truly audio guys.

I'm sure they visit or belong to programing or software topic message boards and forums. I wonder what they would think of a format change that would vaporize years worth of their valuable information.

Doug Fowler has written a stickie in the "old" PSW basement stating that there will be an archive created of the old threads, very good news.

Having contributed over 4800 messages, some with good content that I had not personally saved, was very glad to hear that the half million thread archive will be available to search.
