The "correct" filter type and slope and freq depends on several things. 

Among them includes-the actual response of the particular cabinets involved-
The level ratio between the adjacent bands
The phase response of the particular bands involved.

The actual final response of the "filter" involved not only the electrical response (as in the DSP) but also the acoustical response of the drivers involved.

There is no "correct" filter-but rather the correct set of filters for a particular application.

And also remember that filters don't directly translate between different DSP's.
