A friend of mine was updating the G3 packs to version 1.7 and 4 out of the 6 went great. the other 2 died in the middle of the updated and then wont restart now. They have new batteries and nothing happens when you turn them on. Is there a reset or something that can get it back to default?

Hi Scott, in WSM, firmware update, recovery mode . I think you have to remove battery momentarly

Duane is on the right track.  We (day job) had that happen as well.  Give Sennheiser support a call and they'll walk you through it.

I was told 2nd-hand that the if the transmitter power setting is not correct on the transmitter you can brick the receivers when updating. It has something to do with the firmware not recognizing that particular setting.

I've hounded Sennheiser for ages for an explanation, and a step by step on how to avoid this but have never gotten one.

PLEASE post back the answer when you find out.
