As the title says - how to safely clean pad and other switches on  Yamaha 01v (first version not 96)? Since they are not used much they get dirty and sometime cut out.  Same with the source selector switch on ch15/16 and monitoring source.

I "exercise"  them from time to time and that helps a bit. What would be an simple way to clean them? I guess I would need to open the case so I can reach them somehow. Once I reach them - what would be safe to use on them (contact spray, fader lube)?

I guess another option is to bring it to the yamaha service and ask them to replace all those switches, I am afraid that would cost me more than the value of the mixer.

Suggestions are welcome.

I do the same on my 01v - exercise all the buttons and faders when I use it. I also had mine looked at when I bought it 2 years ago for some iffy channels, and Advanced Musical in LA went through it as part of it.
