Very cool, how long does it take to compute a typical room model for a single sub?
Amazingly quick, like a second or so after you click the render button.  Brilliant stuff, and one more reason to own an iPad.  Sub steering could never be easier!

This is for simulation, not measurement. Since no measurement is taken, no microphone is required.

Just to clarify since there apparently may be some misunderstanding, and Sebastian please correct me if I am wrong, but while GPA is a very nice tool for assessing the predicted pattern of a speaker or array, I believe it is not, or at least not yet, effective for predicting opverall system performance.  It can show the predicted direct sound field from a device or an array of devices but other than a limited reflection chamber functionality does not account for the effects of a room, the effects of the ambient noise or predict intelligibility, energy ratios, etc.  So it is a very useful for seeing what you may expect to get out of the speaker system and how any changes affect that, which can be critical information, but it is not necessarily, at least at this point, intended for predicting the resulting system performance in a space.
