Trouble on SysTune demo setup?
« on: June 14, 2012, 10:41:33 PM »

Disclaimer- I have no experience with SysTune ...
I have downloaded the SysTune demo version, to try out, and work with.

It seemed to download fine, setup went OK, icon is on desktop. Seems good to that point.
When I click on the icon to start the program I get the message ..
" application failed to initialize properly (0x0000135). click OK to terminate the application. "
I have tried to re-install with the repair option, but I keep getting the same result.
I realize this message references a binary memory location, a not unusual error type for windows; so, does this seem like
a computer problem only? Has anyone else seen this type of error with the demo version?

I am using an older dell Latitude laptop with
- Windows XP pro
- 1.6 gig processor
- 512 MB ram
- A largely empty 80gig HD

Perhaps this old OS doesn't have the bandwidth needed?
I have the True RTA software on this same laptop, (w/ the 1/24 oct res., which I like a lot BTW) and have used it often with no problems.
All other apps function OK as well. I never have had any other memory/error issues that I know of.
Any suggestions ?
Taylor

Installation readme is here:

Do you have .NET 2.0 installed?

512 MB RAM seems problematic to me.

Hey Doug,

You were right about the .NET 2.0.
I did read the readme, and the system requirements seems OK.
I wrongly ASSuMEd that with the current updates for service pack 2.0 I was
covered, but no.
With that downloaded and installed all seems well,
thanks for the spot on reply.
I'm gonna have fun with this thing. Trying to get more familiar with the whole
phase response measurement.
Thanks
Taylor

BTW - I really enjoyed the article in LSI about the Ultra Music festival.
I love when unconventional means are used to yield awesome results.
Kudos to you guys for being creative, and doing what some say can't/shouldn't be done.
The low end from those systems must of caused seismic readings.

Forget phase (for now), download the full featured demo and use Delay Analysis for alignments.

Yes, those systems really bring "it".
