You're welcome.  Yes, it's all about the music and the tradition......and the people who keep after it.

I just returned from my regular Friday nooner where I've been playing my 2-row Hohner G/C box for the last 25 years.

DR

Dick,
I'm fairly sure you and I come from about the same period of time, and to be honest I've worked what seems to be a million weddings playing standards with drums, bass, guitar and accordian. That was a very popular ensamble back in the 60's. I enjoyed every minute and honestly enjoy good accordian music.

I'm also now fairly sure that you have completely misunderstood the meaning of what a nooner should be.

I did a gig for Otis Elevator once. Like every job, it had it's ups and downs.

Apparently, it may be Accordion Awareness Month now in Madrid, or perhaps this is now year-round? Snapped by my friend during his current business trip...

I enjoy accordion Skandihoovianism as much as anyone else, it adds a festive touch to any occasion. :)  So what did that sign imply, no street musicians allowed or something to that effect?

I think it says dorks on scooters aren't allowed to play accordians.
