Dolby Lake AP settings?
« on: May 07, 2012, 01:59:32 pm »

I had an access point die recently. I'm trying to use a linksys in a jam to get through a day. I'm getting a connection from the laptop, but i get a constant re-sysncing loop. Flashing lights on the DLP during resync seem to indicate I'm getting some connection, just not a solid one.

I checked the old dolby live boards, no help there.
The DLP manual just says to buy a pre configured system.

Anybody know the recommended settings for the AP?
Regarding static IP Gateway , subnet mask etc?
Is it the same as with a wired connection?
A link to a know configuration maybe?

I can go wired if I have to, It works fine direct cat5 to the laptop, but I'd prefer to get the wireless up and running.

Infinite resync looks like a Dante stream on the network. With a cable you have plenty bandwidth to do both control data and dante/audio data, with wireless you don't. Check if dante is enabled and disable if so.

It ended up being an issue with the access point/router. It had intermittent radio issues. When I did a repeating ping, the times would read 3 ms, 3 ms, 2035ms, 5 ms, 3900ms via wifi. They were all 3ms when wired direct.
The ap itself has been bounced around a lot, I suspect a broken solder joint in there. Either way, a new dual band d-link access point has solved all the issues.
