If we were all competent to "design these named components into the best applicable configuration", then why is it being done this way.

Because I have seen others do exactly what I have described and name it incorrectly. Different folks, same exact configuration with different names.

Considering each speaker is covering a range that the other can’t cover all of (even if there is an overlap), via the woofer’s inability to go as low as the sub, but more importantly the LP in the sub... it would be considered a 3-way.

If it weren’t for the LP on the sub, maybe a 2-way with a sub, or a 2-1/2 way, haha.

Why don't you tell us what it is? Clearly you're the only one who knows.

It's a 3 way with MFP, end of subject.

My confusion lies in that if the OP knows "the correct reply," why even ask the question? It appeared to start as a poll, though, which would have no correct answer...

Either way, I don't know the purpose of this entire thread, sooooooo. Yeah.

It's a 3 way with MFP, end of subject.

A PM asked "What does MFP stand for."

I'll expound. It's a 3 way with many fucking problems. And I agree, what is this thread about, why does it exist, why do I reply, who gives a fuck.

Ha… not my PM, but I did wonder…

Much like years ago when I first lurked here, someone would respond to a question with "RTFM"

Damn, I went through every technical term I could think of trying to figure out WTF that meant, haha…
