I have a car. Can someone tell me how I can use it to get from my house to the store?

This may sound like a mean analogy, but scenarios given like this on here are -- well, frowned upon. There's a vast wealth of resources here, so giving us more to work with well help us help you. For example, "I am planning an event at a space that's 60' wide by 85' long. I'm planning on putting my stage on the longer side of the room. I've a few rental options available to me, on top of LIST OF EQUIPMENT that I already own. What else should I be considering?"

In live sound, there's no "one rule" (or tool) to solve all of your problems. Each scenario requires looking at your specific situation, and based on your available resources, determining the best method to reach your desired result. So, in your case, "filling the room" could be accomplished by any of several methods, but we'd need to know what your resources available are.

.. Unless you just mean spending tons of money and buying as much gear as possible to (literally!) FILL a room.

It can mean different things.

To some it means to have the same coverage to every seat.

To others it means to "have the room "swimming" in sound.  This is usually NOT what most people in pop music want.  For pipe organs it is great-to be surrounded by the sound with it bouncing all over the place.

But for amplified music-that is a nightmare.  You can't understand the vocals-the low end never stops (ie not punchy) and it is basically "mud".

Very often ask for one thing-then complain when they get it-because they don't understand what what they are asking for.

Like the old saying "be careful what you ask for-you just might get it".
