If Jeff is using his amps in bridged mode, then he will most likely be using both red (usually "+") terminals instead of one red and one black like in parallel or stereo/dual mono mode.
I was just pretending to be a clueless bass player. ;) That was sarcasm.

correct. on my amps you connect the speaker wires to both red terminals when operating them in bridged mono. the + side connects to channel 1 and the - side connects to channel 2. if one speaker is connected the opposite way it will be out of phase. i painted the binding post on channel 2 white. i painted the - side of the banana plug white. if they cant get that right i will freak out like Frank Zappas album of the same !

I'm not a geetar player, but I know the type. A former roommate was a bass player. He loved playing bass, because, in his words, "you don't need to know anything about music to play bass."
