RCF TT-25a tops
« on: March 12, 2012, 11:07:02 AM »

Does anyone have the RCF TT-25a tops?  (not to be confused with the TT-25SMA).

How are these tops?
Will they be able to replace my EV QRx212 (or SRX722)?

I was looking at the JBL VP7215/95DP, but they are a little to far out of my budget.

IF anyone has a TT25a tops that they want to lend/rent to me so that I can try the speaker out at a show or two.

I am not having any luck in MD/VA.

Matt, try  and PM   Mike Pyle.   He and I have emailed back and forth  concerning  the RCF TT  series  in the past.  I was close to purchasing some but went with the RCF ART 522's (plastic)  due to weight and cost factors  for my needs.  Incidentally,  I owned a pair of QRX212's as well.  It got to the point where most of the shows I was doing  I was using the RCF's.   One day, I decided  I would A/B them  with the QRX's in driveway  with my bandmates  present.  Nothing scientific  mind you.   Just some mp3 music,  some accapella vocals, etc.  I ran both sets of boxes with flat EQ . The 5 of us agreed  that the RCF just sounded better to us.  Without a doubt, the  QRX is a kick ass box  and would certainly stomp the ART  522  for sheer output  IMHO.  Point is,   if the  TT  series is  supposed to be a huge step up  from the ART series, and I gather it is from what Mike Pyle tells me ,  you probably would be very happy.  Mike may even have one in stock for you to try.  Give him a shout  and keep us posted  on your mission.    Regards,   Brent
