How to extract video from M7CL
« on: March 06, 2012, 11:27:42 PM »

Hi guys, does anybody knows about a way to take a VGA signal from an M7CL?

I will start to impart some seminars to various ARC's employees, and I think it would be of great help.

Any toughts?

This is not an exact answer, but I usually do a well placed PTZ camera zoomed in to show the screen. This has the added benefits of showing where the finger is pointing.

Yamaha does training on all their digital consoles.  Perhaps a call to them to inquire as to how they handle getting a screen signal to projection is in order.

Yamaha has a specially modified M7CL with a video output for their classes.  I recall them mentioning that they had to rotate the output because the screen in the M7CL is installed upside down.

Oh, sure Sir!!!

First, you have to insert an empty flash card to the USB port on console, and exit the "Save/Load" page. (Keep the flash card in port).

Then You have to push seven times the logo of M7CL console in the setup page, and a banner with the legend "Maintenance mode" will appear.

Use the UDK #1 to "shoot" the screen capture.

When finished, You have to keep pressed the M7CL logo, until a "Normal mode" banner appear.

I warn You: It's very time consuming, it take around 35 sec to get the screen capture, and you have to wait until the next minute, in order to make another screen capture, since the time stamping function doesn't have seconds resolution.

You owe me a cold Coke.... ;)
