Recent show pic
« on: March 04, 2012, 01:18:15 PM »

Been lurking here for a few years...finally put some of what I've learned to use.  Snapped a couple shots of my latest setup at a recent show.  Rear truss with drape on LS-11's with two Colorstorms and RGB Pucks split among the band and the screens (30" aluminum screening from Home Depot zip-tied to 1" conduit) with PAR64's out front.

That looks great!  Good use of non-theatrical materials to get an amazing textured look.

How did you get that rumpled look from screen?

Just did it with my bare hands.  It took some experimenting on how to get a semi-even look to it (and some re-straightening for some of the parts that looked too crazy).

I've seen a lot of church stage designs use this idea and they usually hit the screens from the bottom as well with additional LEDs which I'd like to add eventually.

Is it an open mesh screen, or is it "Foil"?

BTW, looks nice.

Thanks John.

I guess you would call it open mesh -- this is what I used:

Great job!
