Grace VanderWaal. IMHO she's not just good for a 13-year-old reality show winner, she's good period.

Today so far:  Adrian Belew - Lone Rhino;  Deodato - Long Train;  Mahler - Symphony #1 (Erich Leinsdorf, Royal Philharmonic Orch).

On tap for tonight's listening/viewing:  Sondheim's COMPANY! (2006/7 Broadway revival, John Doyle directing/staging, featuring Raul Esparza _ADA Barba on SVU_ as Bobby)

Been listening to Grusin Ritenour Project's recording of West Side Story and then some Oscar Peterson.

I'm now listening to Miles Davis "Kind of Blue". Never been a big fan but I put it on every few years. I find it depressing but there is some nice solos.

I think tomorrow will be a classical day.

Been a fan of both Dave Grusin and Lee Ritenour for a long time; some where I have Ritenour's "Captain Fingers" vinyl...

Same era (and I'm now looking for my vinyl) is Dan Fogelberg & Tim Weisberg's "Twin Sons of Different Mothers."

I just found this beautiful video and sound recording of the Danish National Symphony orchestra performing movie soundtracks from spaghetti westerns. This one is from the Good, the Bad and the Ugly with a full orchestra, large choir, and two sopranos in a duel between good and evil. Hint, one of them is wearing 6-shooter earrings. Not only is this a great performance, the microphone placement and technique was perfect. Now I've got to watch the entire movie.  :)
