Tonight's dive into the vinyl pile brought up Deodato's Artistry.  I wish I'd been at the concert it was recorded at.  Who else puts Maurice Ravel between a strut and a jive?

Across the digital divide, Bonnie Raitt's Slipstream.  I particularly like her Reggae-esque cover of Gerry Rafferty's "Right Down the Line."  Bonnie just gets better and better.

Si Kahn's Courage is in the queue.

Been listening to some Trans-Siberian Orchestra lately. I must say that mixing them would make for an interesting gig. :-)

Gino Vannelli - Brother to Brother

I'm in a 70s mood.....

Been struggling to find new "good stuff" lately. Found myself going back to old favorites.

Abraham Inc, surprising mix of funk, klesmer, jazz, and a little rap all rolled into one
Brawner Brothers and some other blues stuff
Alison Krauss/Union Station.
even dug out Bob Seger last night.

Looking at retiring. Local PA market has shrank to 2 guys with guitars and bose l1 compacts or expecting full line array and 16 movers on stage for $300... no middle left going back to event DJ stuff, half the work for twice the pay.

I usually listen to a Deftones Pandora station, but lately I have been going back to Electric Wizard and interestingly The 60-70's band, Budgie.
