... I used a SendStation PocketDock with my iPod.  Great sound quality with simultaneous charging.

I'd buy this from you if you end up without a use for it.

Thanks to everyone for the contributions.

I found my iPod Touch, so I'll continue to do playback from there...until such time as it again goes AWOL :)

Before it re-appeared, I tried PC DJ DEX 2 and Traktor Pro 2.  Neither could bet "plain old" Winamp for my needs.

I did, however, go with the FIIO E10 DAC.  The improvement in SQ over my XPS-M1210 internal sound card was immediately noticable.  Highly recommended!
