I have a martin Magnum 2000 that has a clogged heater core. I have tried threading a guitar string in the inlet and output nozzle. This resulted in some  black liquid that faintly smelled of old fog juice coming out. I have heard others that have tried boiling the core in water...has anyone tried this and will it effect the wiring from the core? I have tried lots of other things..is it time to admit defeat and buy a new core
