Overhauling and Need a few pointers
« on: January 14, 2012, 08:51:04 AM »

I do apologize if this is in the wrong forum  ???

First MY Gear...
AMPS
Behringer EP2500
Behringer EP2000
and
a Crown XLS 402 with only one working channel..

Mixer:
Behringer EURORACK PRO RX1202FX

Speakers:
JLB Powered SUB
2xJBL MX515
1x Yorkville Elite 12''
1x Yorkville 12''
1x Yorkville 15''

My Question is the best optimal Setup for my current configuration.

SUB:
Currently I am setup with Dual 1/4'' from sub to a RCA input to a Level Control (to adjust THUMP) then dual RCA converted to a single 1/4'' to the mono input on the back of the mixer.
SPEAKERS:
As for the speakers I have 1 XLR coming from MAIN OUT on the Mixer with 1 split (Y-Split) once to input into 2 of my amps inputs...
and the Second XLR OUT I have 2 y-splits to give me 3 XLR's into the additional 3 inputs on my amps.

#1 I'm pretty certain my wiring for my sub is most likely incorrect so If I can get some advice on a proper hook up that would be great
#2 What would be my optimal scheme to Power all 5 of my speakers with my current amp and mixer setup

I am using Speakon connectors for all my speakers as well.

Side Note: Inputs to the mixer are 2CH for Computer, 2CH for CD Player and 2CH for DJ and CH9/10 for mobile device or IPOD etc...

Thanks for any and all help and advice...  ;D

Out of those speakers what do you use for FOH? and does the sub have an inbuilt crossover? Also what are the power and impedance ratings?

Go to the web page link below and look at the wiring diagrams.   You will see some
different configurations and it also shows you HOW to set the dip switches on the back
of the amp so you dont have to use splitters all over the place.
Follow the diagrams to give you a better Idea of what you are doing
You can run one single cable from your mono output on your mixer and you dont have to split it into
the sub amp.  Just use one input on the subwoofer.  You are running a mono signal to it anyways.
Go to the link below and look at wiring diagram that fits your need

What are you trying to do?  Are the MRX515s, assuming that is what you meant, your mains and the Yorkvilles serving as monitors, perhaps each with a separate send?  And what powered sub is it?
