Put the $2000 in the bank and use the interest to offset the cost of renting gear for those six times per year that you need it.

Yeah.  You can get 1% interest if you have a minimum balance of $2500..........

Hey where do you get that interest rate, you are a lucky guy

My bank pays me 0.25% annually and deducts $175 a year for account maintenance

I agree with the RCF ART310A or ART312A + 705AS sub for powered speakers given your modest coverage needs. The only caveat I would warn you on is, if you're looking to really have excellent EDM bass outdoors, the 705 might be a lackluster. However, getting a really strong bass level will kill your budget.

The RMX is also one of the best controllers in that price range and that price range is the lowest I would recommend to anyone.
