I have both an iPad and laptop and don't see line source PA prediction software on my iPad as having any real "convenience" factor.
Can you imagine trying to build a 3d model in Soundvision on a iPad? Not convenient... from my POV anyway.
The report can be sent to the iPad and that might be more useful.
Using an iPad for remote control of consoles or monitoring Rf racks is another matter. Very handy!

X2 on the soundvision and the D&B array calc. I could not see the iPad having enough processing power to render 3d graphics and multiple arrays for a large rig.

Agreed, and don't even get me started on trying to plot MLA rigs on something as relatively underpowered as an iPad!

I use my iPad all the time for system control - just VNC/RDP back to my main machine. This gives me the best of both worlds: Full featured software on a big screen with proper control (mouse & kb!) when i need it, and a nice compact touchscreen remote when i'm wandering.
D&B R1 works perfectly this way
