DMX to Martin converter?
« on: November 26, 2011, 09:19:38 am »

Hello all!
I have been given a pair of old Martin Roboscan Pro 218s. I have verified that they are not the MKIIs - they only have a 6 position dip switch - and my understanding is that they are not DMX compatible. I have heard "rumors" that at one time Martin made a box that converted DMX to their protocol but I cant find anything except mentions of it in various forums. Does anyone know if there is such a thing, how much it might cost and where I may be able to find one?
Thanks!

Jeff

I would check the martin forums. I remember reading about someone who custom built one. They had schematics and part numbers and everything. So if you are handy with electronics, this might be a good route. I will try and dig it up.

You may want to check ebay as I see them pop up there from time to time for cheap.
