Hi all, my name is Davide and I have only lately discovered this very interesting forum, so this is my fist topic.

I have to  buy 2 active speakers to replace my old ones, I use them for several applications: live music for weddings and parties with keyboard arranger and 2 voices, live acoustic music in trio, in bigger situations they could be used as monitors, so I will use them from low to high volume.

After heard different boxes and I'm going to buy 2 RCF art 712, they are powerful, light and with a very good sound, other boxes I heard (as the qsc k12) are more prominent in the bass/mid-bass, but the 712 have a very  crisp and clean sound in the vocal range.

Now the problem: I have the possibility to buy a pair of new RCF ART 722 for a very good price (the same as 712!)  but I have not the possibility to hear them at the moment, so I have to make a decision:

* buy the 712 that i have already heard and I like?
* go for the 722 without any prevoius listening?

Just to clarify: the sound pressure from the 712 is enough for me, so I don't need more power, but If the 722 sounds better than the 712.. at the same price ...why not?

I have already read all specification, but anyone has compared them side by side?

I have also listened to the 712's and was impressed.  I understand from the above review that the 722's have a brighter top end.  I would be cautious of a brighter top end - the 712's are plenty bright enough to my ears.

Hi Neale,
I read the same review in the past and I agree with you, the 712 are bright enough, from the same review the 722 seems also to have  more bottom and, if I understood correctly, the reporter seems to prefer the 722 over the 712, but I could make a mistake.
