Hopefully this isn't anticlimactic after all my complaining, but I wrote up a build post on my case here:

Obviously this isn't a case for Flurry Washes, but I suspect I had similar goals in needing small cases for van-level gigs that don't require 3/4 ply and 2" of foam around everything.  Hopefully this is helpful.

I'm not sure why you can do it and I can't - my picture was smaller dimensionally and in file size than what you posted.

I copied your photo and tried to post it and it wouldn't take so I tried to post something of my own as an experiment.
Then I had to leave home and go do something so the post went up w/no text.
There's something odd on why your pics won't post, but I don't know what it is. 
(you on a mac or something?  LOL!)

I don't like the image posting software on PSW currently
(fwiw, I don't like what the "other" forum uses either - they're both clunky at best)
but seeing what I pay, I am getting my money's worth from it!

I copied your photo and tried to post it and it wouldn't take so I tried to post something of my own as an experiment.

Looks like it worked.

fwiw, I copied the file, resized it down to 800 and saved it and tried to post again.
Worked that time.  Not sure why it worked for me.  Who knows.  The software here is definitely on the clunky side.

I can't slag on them too hard though, stuff has been getting done (albeit slowly)
They actually got the old PSW posts converted and made them searchable!
(which was a huge bone of contention with some posters)

- Take picture with canon 5DII in RAW
- ACR fix color, exposure, crop, etc., save as JPG quality 10, sRGB
- Open with Photoshop CS4 (yes I'm stuck in 2009)
- Change image size to XXXX x YYYY
- Save as JPG

As far as I know I'm not doing anything weird - they're 8-bit/channel JPGs, standard color space, and they work fine on other forums.
