Nexo - NX242 Compression.....
« on: February 12, 2011, 10:46:23 PM »

Dear Friends,
                    Ive a Nexo Geo S12 set up with RS18 Subs. ^a side with 2 subs each. Powered by Camco V200 for Geo S & V6 for sub bass.

The problem I face is the compression put in automatically by the NX242 controller. Though it shows a lot of head room still the system gets compressed a lot. secondly , the Amplifiers are not cliping .
          Kindly suggest what i might be doing wrong.

Thanks,

The first thing that comes to mind is an incorrect amp gain setting in the controller.

You need to read the sections in the manual about amplifier gain and power and set them according to the instructions. Also;

-Might pay to check your sense wiring polarity at the same time.

-Set the headroom value to suit your mixer

Polarity on the sense lines does not matter.

Are you seeing or hearing the compression?
What is your headroom setting on the processor?

Are you amps and processor set to 26db?

Have you connected with your distributor/dealer about these problems?

sincerely,

Apologies. Should have said correct sense wiring.

Although I would expect it to show a sense error if the wiring was that badly messed up.
