Ozzy Tour
« on: February 06, 2011, 05:28:40 PM »

What rig is he using. I caught the show in Houston, but did not recognize the rig. It was NOT a line array. The old man still has it. When Ozzy tells the crowd, "I love you all", you believe him! And what is that foam looking crap he sprays all over the front rows?

Not sure what the rig was, but I saw him in Minneapolis.
I'm not sure if I caught a bad night, or if my expectations were a little high going in, but he sure can't run around, and the first song made me wonder if I should ask for a refund.  It definitely got better as the night went on, but yikes.
the lighting and band were just fantastic though.

We use a foam on my local fire dept that is basically just soap when all is done. I'm sure its probably about the same with that. But maybe not???

When I saw him on the Black Sabbath reunion tour several years back, he was dumping buckets of water on the first several rows. Really, I'm glad I was back by mix position for that show as I wouldn't have been into the dowsing. I don't know who was mixing, but there was a lot of clipping going on somewhere, I could hear what sounded like compression driver diaphragms banging against phase plugs. Pantera opened and the mix sounded 100% better. I suspect the ME for Sabbath had some worn out ears and was pushing the crap out of the mids n' highs.
