Hi all. As I make the slow move from live production into the

installation world I'm finding myself fault finding networks more

often. To be honest my knowledge is rudimentary at best. Can anyone

suggest a decent book to get me started? Thanks.

You've gotten some good suggestions, but here is another one I frequently point people to:

This book is available for sale, but the author has generously made the entire thing available online for free.  Great info, very inclusive, and pretty easy to read and understand.

The Cisco links that Rob provided are also a great resource, but I have found that they can be a little dense and complex for people who are just getting into networking technology.
