Shuffler Strike

My friends, The Dixie Bee-Liners, are currently involved in a campaign to have George Shuffler inducted into the Bluegrass Hall of Fame.

As the strike, The Dixie Bee-Liners are playing the Stanley Brothers' arrangement of "Will You Miss Me" at every show until Shuffler is recognized.

Shuffler, who played both guitar and bass for the Stanley Brothers, is definitely one of the pioneers of bluegrass music and is remembered for both his walking bass style as well as his lead guitar cross picking.

I agree that this is an honor that is past due.

If you are a member of IBMA or you know a member of IBMA, and you would like to join this grass roots movement, you can send a respectful letter to the nominating committe c/o IBMA, 2 Music Circle South, STE 100 Nashville TN 37203. In order for this to happen this year, letters need to be submitted before the end of February.
