one noisy channel on 01V?
« on: January 19, 2011, 10:54:13 PM »

Has anyone ever experienced just one hissy/noisy chan on their original 01V?  Audio still sounds fine through it, but it's way noisier than the others.  Took a peak inside, but it didn't look too easy to get to the preamp and fader section.

That was pretty much the only problems we had with the origional 01V's.  It happened on several different consoles.

We would always send them back to Yamaha for repair.

I assumed it was in the mic preamp.

after consulting the diagram, seems to be the preamp or A/D for that chan.  the noise is present on all outputs and the pad does not effect it.  do you remember how much the repair was?

The office takes care of all of that, and it has been years since we sent a console in.  So I have not idea.  Sorry.
