Maybe I should start a new thread but here goes.
When we say 'shoot out' the meaning doesn't rely on fancy tools and well crafted spreadsheets.  Mr. manufacturer (this would be for the big guys, Ev,JBL ..ya know the guys who don't want to play unless they are the only player)  what we mean by shootout is the system is put with others in the same price point.  Then the folks who are curious about this range of PA get to ask the questions, play with their test, kick the tires.

We had enough stuff last time to cover 2 days with ease.
With a band and a SMAART discussion we could cover 3 days.
But Brian returns labor for using this room.
(Yeah I'm tellin on ya man)
3 days is an awful lot of labor.

Anyone have any suggestions?
We could have an outrageous weekend.

Hey Tim, I would love to go.  What do you think about getting some folks together  and go in a van?? OR you gonna fly?

Anybody else from the KC area interested?

I would be very interested depending on the date!

I ride the Southwest Chief (Amtrak) a lot but there doesn't seem to be a good way to get from Chicago to the location in Indiana without a car.

Bob, the South Shore runs from MCormick or Millineum Station to Miller.  When we get times and dates we could work out a shuttle from the Raddison to Miller it's about 15 min each way.

Depending on the date, I also might be interested, and would either need to catch the southshore down to Miller (a shuttle would be cool) or find a ride from Chicago.  Maybe we could set up a car pool from Chicago for those of us who are cheap or rely on public trans.

Hey Brian, I know they are giving us the space but is there any room deal per chance?

Thought I posted this a few minutes ago, but I must not be fully caffenated...

So, let's go a bit overboard on name tags....

https://shop.nametags.com/Products/Item.aspx?itemID=21030

This looks like a cool option for nametags.  Perhaps the owners of the forum would let us use a ProSoundWeb/LAB logo?  The nice thing about this company is you can go back and place more orders, and if the ProSoundWeb logo artwork is acceptable, future orders for official and less official LAB get togethers is a snap.

I went through the online designer for these, and there are a fair number of options, especially background color/text color, and mount(slot, swivel clip are both options).  Very nice.

I suppose to keep with tradition, laminate/plastic nametags could be produced as well, but the metal laser versions are pretty cool.

Best regards,

John

John,

For one of the LAB Get Togethers in MD I had laminates printed by BandPasses.com with a little space to write in a name. I used a high-res version of the LAB logo for that, but I can't recall where I got it.

I would be interested in attending.  I am 30 minutes West of Milwaukee and so this isn't that far at all.  It all depends on my schedule / availability.

I can think of a friend that would be very interested in coming along also.

I have (2) VRX 918SP and (2) VRX 932LAP that I can bring if needed.  I see from the pictures in last years event you had a VRX set up.  If you need a powered version, I can bring it along.
