Marathon Amplifiers
« on: August 05, 2010, 04:07:25 PM »

I have been looking around for pro amps to power a JTR triple 12 front stage I have in my home theater and recently came across this particular brand.  Never heard of it or seen reviews.

Does anyone have personal experience with this company and product?  any help would be appreciated.

I helped a guy hook up a used DJ rig he bought a while ago. It had two Marathon amps in the rack (don't remember the model numbers)...one in stereo mode for the tops, one bridged on a single 18" sub.

Connectors/switches/knobs felt kinda cheap. They seemed to sound OK...didn't drive either of them into clipping. As far as I know they are both still working.

I know that's not much info, but it's all I have to offer.

The best sound quality for me is Chevin. The Q1000 (4x1000w) plenty for home theater. Class AB outputs with a switchmode power supply and 120v ready!!.
