Lab Subs/Martin WSX
« on: October 03, 2010, 03:30:09 PM »

Mixed a set yesterday outside on a Martin mid-sized array system...8 line array boxes/side and 8 WSX/side. Turns out my set was actually the first audio passed through the system but it was passable. The WSX subs always feel really thick to me, but when the band actually starts I can never seem to tune in the same low end feel I get with the Lab Subs. Wondering about others experience with the WSX's.

Maybe these subs would be less thick?

Laughing

PS: despite his apparent misgivings about the subs, John had a nice mix going as per the usual.

Hey Arron,
No misgivings, just never get to spend enough time with them to be able to adjust to taste....I think my soundcheck Sat was the first audio through the system that day! All good!
