We've used global truss for 7+ years regularly. No significant problems except when someone puts the spigots in backwards and then uses the hammer.... This can be very bad.
A $3 short handled steel hammer from harbor frieght goes in every toolbox with the spigots/pins. A pipe or other hard object will work if no hammer is around.
A 2nd pin or short punch is good for tapping pins loose to dissasemble.
We have also used simillar sized bolt together truss and global system is somewhat faster and lighter.
My biggest complaint about the pin/spigot system is the banging noise from tapping them together/apart.
