I'm still working out the final details; grill, handles, casters.

I think I'm going to remove the rear bottom corner, install large casters and install handles on the bottom so that when its tipped back someone could help lift them up.

This will make a good box a great box.

What is the driver compliment for the Orbit Shifter?

I believe the driver is a custom 18 incher weighing something like 68lbs. Pretty powerful beast, by all accounts.

The Orbit Shifter has a single 18" driver.  It's a custom build and 68 lbs is the number I've heard also.  I saw them in Jeff's shop but didn't take a picture.  Pretty interesting looking driver.

and a Home Theatre review of the Orbit Shifter:

No mention as to who makes the driver, but from the pics I have seen, I have a feeling the amp may be by Speaker Power: http://www.speakerpower.net/index.html.
I think I recall a post stating this manufacturers amps are used by Mark Seaton in his range of speakers as well as in other well known   manufacturers products.

The driver is made in the USA, has 30mm of Xmax (each way) and 50mm of Xmech (each way) Twisted Evil

Jeff,

30mm is an impressive X max figure !

The 23mm Xmax Growler appears to hit Xmax ( 10% harmonic distortion generated) with a 29 volt 45 Hz sine wave, though at 50 Hz and above can handle 85V with low (around 10% or less) distortion.

The Orbit Shifter, with it’s much longer horn and larger mouth area must go much lower than the Growler before exceeding  Xmax.

Have you done any testing so far to determine the Orbit Shifter's maximum input voltage without exceeding  Xmax  ?

The Growler is no where near its Xmax at 29 volts. The harmonic distortion is due to the driver displacing a large percentage of the rear chamber's volume.
