no no no! We need to focus on the safety of the stage monitor/side fill on the cart with wheels!! What if that takes off magically from its current point of rest! IT COULD KILL SOMEONE!  Laughing  Twisted Evil

HAHA! No, it would have just fell on my monitor desk.  Laughing

The worst faux pas is green lights on the artists.

Right? I was sitting there thinking the same thing when they were on stage.  Laughing

He can also be the guy on stage who is a master of the Wheels of Steel. There is some debate whether or not these people are musicians. I find those who argue that they are not don't really understand the skills involved in being a real performing DJ. I also find that someone's opinion of DJs often depends on their opinion of the genre of music they play.

Mixmaster Mike (from the Beastie Boys) is one of these amazing guys.  I can't even fathom how he does the stuff he does with vinyl...

I should have said: Needfire: http://www.needfire.com/

Great band, if your event can handle the volume levels. (When the pipes require great amounts of audio reinforcement, the band might be a bit too loud.)

I agree.  Needfire can get loud, but they sure do rock.  I was working the festival where that picture was taken.  The crowd loved it and they are a nice group of guys too.  This was the first band that asked for bagpipes in the drum monitor.  The guy playing the pipes has his own wireless rig and likes to wander through the crowd.  We had to put him in the drum monitor so they could stay together when he was out front.
