None of that matters.

How is it terminated on the other end?

All you need to do is preserve pin 1 to 1, 2 to 2, 3 to 3.

I don't know what you mean my "terminated on the other end?"

How can I preserve pin 1 to 1, 2 to 2, 3 to 3, if I don't know which wires are suppose to go to Pin 1 Pin2 and Pin 3?

Wouldn't it mess something up, if I attach the black wire, to pin 1 for example, but on all the others, red actually connects to Pin 1?  I cannot see what pins the red and black wire attach to.

Leo, the simplest way for a non-tech to to tell is to open the connector up at FOH. Examine the wiring on that end and duplicate it at the stage connector. Shield is almost always Pin 1, and you should be able to determine the other 2. Worst case scenario, buy or borrow a simple volt/ohm meter and ID the wires that way.

You mean open up the XLR connector that plugs into the board?

Yes! (actually maybe... make sure there isn't an intermediary connection from the snake tail to the mixer)

Hopefully it will be the same wires -- but you never know.

ahh, ok!  I wasn't understanding before.

I don't think there is, but if there is, it would be either somewhere in the wall, or under/around the stage somewhere, I'll have to check it tomorrow when I'm going to be in town.
