20 way 30m multicore on reel
AKG d112 kick mic
3 AKG C418 mics

2 sm57's

Sounds fine to me. I've certainly worked with worse systems and the ev sx line has been well proven over time.

Im wondering would their be enough power here to run small outdoor rigs?  The sound i get from this system in a large hall is actually incredible i never have to push it at all.

As a fellow EV user and fan of the SX300's my only comment would be that in general and especially for outdoors you could use more horsepower in the subwoofer department.

Ill expand on this... Having one brand/type of sub has its advantages for being scalable and simplifying setups and DSP settings. If you need 2 only bring out 2, need 4 bring out 4, need to center cluster all, you can do that too, no so much with 2 different brands.

I had my FOH rig running outdoors today, 2 SX300's per side over the MPV subs. There was actually more than enough bass. lots of the thump in the chest effect. The SX300's are incredible speakers, a drum kit miced through these really does come alive as well as a good powerful vocalist. The SX100 monitors are also perfect monitors, they sound quite similar to the SX300's maybe a bit more on the top end which is good when your trying to hear yourself clearly obviously a bit less powerful.

Another point i would like to raise is does anyone have any experience with the AKG C418 drum mics? I have found the sound they produce incredible but have had a few issues with the capsule coming unglued in the mic head causing distortion (due to the capsule moving about in the head). But was easily fixed.
