Resizing pictures
« on: March 15, 2010, 11:12:55 AM »

Hoping to help with the issue of fitting images into messages.

http://www.shrinkpictures.com/

Simply load your image, select the 600 pixel option, click on shrink then save the resulting image.  You can then insert the new image into your message without stretching the page to an impractical size.

Now a "subject only" search should work for this.

Most computers also have programs right on them to resize pictures...

On a PC you can load the image into paint brush, and resize it in there.

On a MAC you can load the image into Preview or iPhoto to resize it.

Or, on XP, install the "Images Resizer Power Toy." On Vista, "VSO Image Resizer"

Both give you right-click option to resize pictures right from the folder icon.

It'd be nice if the forum could throw an error when people exceed a certain dimension.

It's also a player for a number of file types if you have the plugins.  It's all freeware.
