A long time ago I worked in the salon, high-end audio business.  For painful customers, we had a running gag inside the store of quoting them prices above list.  We'd then laugh and say "We all save over $400 ...", and it wasn't really a lie.

Too funny.  At the bottom of the page there is a spot to ask a question about the product.  It asks you to manually put in the word shown (human test) to ensure whatever it is they want to safeguard against.  The word shown for my input was "screw".  How ironic!!!

Since that amp isn't available yet, maybe 54k is the extra bit it takes Peavey to sell the one they do have over in R & D

At that price, I would expect hand delivery, factory un-wrapping, and the delivering technician to install it in my rack, complete with rear rack brackets !

I'd expect a lot of other hand things for that price, too!

For that price, I would expect Hartley to hand deliver it himself.

I do that all the time - it's a typo.

Most businesses use accounting/order processing applications that
automatically insert the decimal point in financial line items.
Saves time and we just have to enter the numbers.

Most shopping cart apps DO NOT enter the decimal place
automatically. You get in the habit of not entering the decimal
and that's what happens. I bet that price is $549.99 - definitely
looks right doesn't it?

While the price is probably a typo, I don't think the 7lbs is, which makes this the only Peavey amp that I have a real interest in trying.
