Now I have only heard four clips I admit but one was the opening speaker with his memorable screed about them filthy furriners and one was Barbie, err Sarah Palin.  I would think that with tickets at $500 a pop that the group could afford a competent audio vendor.  Anyone know who is on deck there?

C'mon, the thing drew only about  a thousand people and the fee for the keynote speaker, a certain half-term governor, was apparently $100,000.

I mean, more people went to see minor league ball in Tucson in the summer.

Yup.. Sounds like nothing special.

$400k doesn't go as far as it used to in politics.

..Criticizing Obama for a perceived reliance on teleprompters is a form of ad hominum that really has no bearing on his ability to govern..

An interesting observation, and not limited to the current administration by any means.

Since Sarah was the darling of the GOP last round of elections I doubt if many true to form Tea Party people will come hear her talk.  Most of the people in the Tea Party don't want to hear from either party.  They are considered part of the problem.

If the Tea Party was doing a litmus test, they know now not to run her in the 2012 cycle unless momentum happens.

Most of the major outlets say she gave the money back to the party.

More about what was annoying to me, was the video crew hired...  Every news feed i saw, had a kid with a black t-shirt on right down front with  "VIDEO CREW" in big white letters, and the kid kept stopping to take photos with his camera phone!!!!

Talk about professionalism...
