Toronto?
« on: December 18, 2009, 11:56:15 PM »

Anything I really should see or do here over the next week?  -Visiting folks for christmas and was just wondering.

(I lived here and went to college here but moved away in '93.  Much has changed to the point that I hardly recognize it!)

Was thinking along the lines of "good sound, good food, must sees"

Hi Craig.

Toxic Avenger:The Musical at the Danforth Music Hall is very very good; closes Jan 03, so there are some 2-4-1 web ticket deals out there (as well as rush seats) available.

Shameless plug:  www.youngcentre.ca  Both Soulpepper Theatre shows are very good (I'm on Civil Elegies 'till tomorrow night, then I'm on vacation 'till the new year)

The loyalty and devotion of Leafs fans is something I have always found amazing.

Until recently the fans of the local NFL team here in Oakland have were similarly minded but now home games don't sell out and the natives ARE restless.

And as a lifelong Habs fan I'd like for both them and the Leafs to be good enough for a real meaningful rivalry again.

Horseshoe Tavern is a cool place to catch a band or two and have a drink. Also Wayne Gretzky's restaurant, simply for all the memorabilia on the walls.
