Have them go to eat in the North End when they're done with the game. If they're looking for night life my daughter just came home from school today and I can have her give me a list of the right places to be. She goes to Simmons, about 2 blocks down from Fenway Park.

Tell them to check out Sunset Grille at Harvard Ave and Brighton Ave 300 beers on menu if that's their thing...

Otherwise, not a lot to do out in Boston... I'm pretty bored here in any time off lol

I actually lived on Louis Prang street for while... Surprised Kind of the quiet side of the fens. Nice museum over there.

I haven't been partying in Boston for a few decades but there will probably be bars within walking distance of the ball park. There used to be a big one in Kenmore square, a nice cluster a few miles out Beacon street in Allston area.

I really enjoyed the private parties on Marlborough street, and Beacon or Comm Ave in back Bay section between Mass ave and the commons. But not for older folk.. I was already getting too old in my early 20's.

Indeed a town full of college kids, but you can smoke a pipe and wear a blazer with elbow patches to pretend you're a professor.   Laughing

Not to hijack, but a friend of mine just moved to the Hartford area (Bloomfield). It has been 25 years since I lived in the general area (Mancheater and Tolland), so I am asking the same question.. but for a new resident.. i.e. good clubs, restaurants, hangs...

He has already found some decent bagels and a gym.

Hey JR,

Tell him to check out the strip in West Hartford, every restaurant there is good.

Additionally, there are some really great bars (Black Eyed Sally's, Pigs Eye Pub, The Half Door, City Steam, The Agave Grill) in Hartford, and in New Britain there's East Side, a really fantastic German restaurant.

And don't forget with that many college kids living there, if the house is rockin, try knocking...   I invited myself into a lot of parties when I lived there...  Very Happy  Most dense areas for that are Back Bay and near the sundry colleges. Lots of smaller 2 year (girls) schools in Back Bay were populated by coeds looking for their Mrs. degree with a Havard or MIT man...

Lots of fraternities too, if they have any connections that way..

All along Lansdown st, one of the streets surrounding Fenway, there are decent bars if you want to pay a little too much to drink. The Pour House across from the Hynes Convention center is good place to imbibe. There's also plenty of bars surrounding Fenway that should be able to suit anyone's needs.
