I may be posting this in the wrong forum,if I am,I apologize.
My question is about drum triggers.
Our new drummer wants to try a trigger on his kick drum, he has a Roland pin point trigger that clamps on the hoop ring. He does not have a drum module, a guy in our band is semi-familiar with the Alesis DM5. Hard time finding a used one locally.

There is a Roland TD7 module that was on a set of electronic drum set for sale resonably priced in my area. Will this work for what I need????
Cannot find out anything about the Roland TD7
All we want to do is use the trigger on the kick and continue to mic everything else.

I am just about to try the same thing. I bought a Ddrum bass drum trigger this week - I will let you knwo how it goes.
