The Sabine processors are actually OEMd from Xilica-who makes processors for various manufacuters.

Each one has its own "twist" to it-but are fundamentally the same.

I have installed quite a few of the various units and have yet to have a failure.

Ivan,

Thanks for the info. This is becoming a very hard decision for me. I am trying to make the best call on which unit to buy, since I have never used a dsp before. I just cant make up my mind. I will have to think about this more.

Like you said, each unit has its "TWIST".

When choosing a DSP-here is where I would start.  Narrow it down to units that have the required number of inputs and outputs that you need (or more).

Now see what ones fit within your price range.

Unless you are doing weird things with them-the functionality is pretty much all the same.

Then look at how you want to control it-via a computer or front panel or both.  See which ones are easier for you to use.  You can download the programs for free to play with.

Reliability will vary with brands.

I will get in trouble for saying this-but don't worry about which one "sounds better".  That is the least of your concerns.

As a general rule-stay away from the cheaper units-they are priced that way for a reason.

These are the ones I have been reading on a lot today.
These are pretty much in the same price range also.

Sabine 2x4 or 3x6 (This one I think is going to be the one, because of its review and it used to be Xilica)

Electro Voice DC-1 2X6 -( I like the way this one looks, but who cares really, it just needs to perform)

Ashley 3.6SP 3x6 ( has good features )

any advice guyz on these? any bad/negative?

I am pretty sure the most I will ever have on speakers, will be at least 2 TH-115, 2 powered tops. That's it.

Is your system mono or stereo?

If mono-look at the Symtrex 322-an inexpensive 2x2 processor that i use all the time for small jobs.

It only has a computer interface.

Ivan,

I have 2 stereo tops, and then a mono sub right now, but will be getting another sub in the near future. So, it will be stereo.

Yesterday I did a gig, and definitely need to get my new sub going. I used the QSC hpr181 yesterday. It sounds good, but just not loud enough, we kept hitting the limiter. As soon as I decide on the dsp, I will get my new TH-115 sub working.

I'm running the Danley TH-115 and 2 EV ZXa5s.  I chose the DriveRack PA+.

I got it locally for around $450.  It's all the DSP I'll ever need.  Save yourself a few hundred on those upper-echelon DSP units and apply that money towards your future Danley sub.

Nevermind... the loud pop issue with the PA+ may be a showstopper.  Mad  I just have to make sure my powered tops are powered down before shutting down the PA+.

Only having 10ms of alignment delay per channel can be a no-deal for the PA+ as well.  Once mains are aligned to subs, especially with flown mains and horn subs, and main system is aligned to backline, 10ms just doesn't even come close.

The Peavey VSX DSP is decent for a cheap DSP, as long as you don't mind using the front panel for control.  Sabine (Xilica) has some nicely priced options as well.

Ok guys...

I purchase the Sabine Nav360 2 days ago. I was able to setup the crossover and still need to tweek out the settings a little better. But I have to say, the sound from this Danley TH-115 is amazing. I love it, and I will definitely buy another to have a pair of TH-115s.
We had to turn down the gain on the amp because it was too much for the back of the room on the opposite side from where I was at with the TH-115. I love it.

I do have a question about the compressor/limiter on the Sabine Nav360. What would be the settings to use, since I am not familiar with setting up the compressor/limiter on this unit. Any help would be great.

These are some of the settings that can be adjusted on the Sabine Nav 360:

Thresh Ranges from -20 to +20dBu in 0.5dB steps

Attack Ranges from 0.3 to 1ms in 0.1ms steps; from 1 to 100ms in 1ms steps

Release can be set at 2X, 4X, 9X, 16X, or 32X the attack time

Compression Ratio  1:1 to 40:1(limit)

Any help with these would be very grateful!

Thanks again!
