you can't go wrong with either system. As stated before it depends what application you are going to use it for. I like the HF of V-dosc. I heard the J HF get blown away pretty easy before but that is true for most systems. I think both are very good.

from what i hear, the j infra is not worth it with Jsubs in the air, and B2s on the ground


..also, when someone talked about only being able to use the D12 amp, i think that is a good thing when it comes to processing, its just a couple clicks and you can use ANY d&b box, they all sound exceptionally good out of the box. whereas if you cross rent pieces of a vdosc rig, you have to account for different amps etc

there are limited dealers, but all of them are very accommodating and it seems that d&b is kind of a "family" most d&b owners know each other, i have never had a problem tracking down d&b gear

This is for a rental. Price is about the same on either package.. Both systems would deploy 24 subs, 12 box per side main hang, 4 infills, and 12 outfills to cover a medium sized arena.  DJ playback only.

I have heard both rigs - and have more experience with L'acoustics personally but times were far apart and I never actually mixed on either.

Time in and out might be the leading deciding factor if the d&b can go up quick - as we are paying union rates.

If it's B2's vs. SB218's, then there's no competition. Get the d&b stuff.

Are you getting a tech with it as well?  V-DOSC might be a little slower with the straps, but really, not much more.  If there are dV below it, that will slow it down a bit by the time you get them ready and get the torture device installed.

B2s will smoke the SB218s, though.
