wireless power
« on: August 30, 2009, 08:21:45 PM »

my employees used to make fun of me when I suggested wireless power was possible.  I showed them articles about Tesla, and they laughed at the danger since he accidentally started a fire in Russia from an experiment in Niagara Falls.

Are we going to get rid of our distros one day?

The battery charger stuff is magnetic field... like breaking a transformer in half putting the primary in one unit and the secondary in another...

How did Tesla start a fire in Russia from Niagara Falls. with a telephone?

In the 1920s (I think) + - 10 years, there was a massive massive forest that was leveled by an unknown force.  I don't think their was evidence of fire, but people have theorized about Tesla and his wireless power attempts.  I guess the location was on some sort of magnetic field line of the earth that intersected NYC.  I don't know the details, just heard a few things.

You mean that comet hit that vaporized due to the atmospheric heating on entry causing an explosion that knocked down all the tree's?

The amount of energy required to knock down that forest is surely greater than the input power Tesla had available and pulled...  That Tesla could have caused it does not sound plausible for several reasons.

Yup, even wiki debunks the Tesla explanation...

The location was Tanguska, it was a meteor strike.
