Starting A Company
Luther Fairley:
Im in the proces of starting a Reinforcement company is thier a directory that compaines can reg @ also any tips are welcome from that have companies as well from the bussiness side of it.
Rob Spence:
I suggest putting punctuation in your writing if you want to get any jobs.
You need to specify what market you are going after, figure out what rates you can get and know what your initial finances are going to be.
Then, you can plan for equipment, staff, transportation, storage, and insurance
There is a start.

There are all kinds of publications that are willing to take your money in return for a "listing" or to get registered with them.
Whether or not this is of any value to you, is up to you. Mostly the people reading these are other companies. And that can be of some value for cross rentals.
But I doubt you will get much full system rentals because of this-but I could be wrong. I never got any when I did it.
What will get you work is contacts. I did get a little bit of work from my Yellow pages listings-but then again that was back before the internet and the yellow pages were all you pretty much had.
You need to run it like a business and not a hobby. You need to pay yourself a decent wage. Put aside money for repairs-for the gear-for transportation and so forth. Your truck needs to make money by itself.
You need to price gigs as a certain percentage of gear costs PLUS the cost of labor-transportation and so forth.
Don't give everything away. Price a certain "package" and then charge extra for the "add ons". Oh you want a spot light with an operator? That will be X amount extra and so forth
Luther Fairley:
Thanks!!!!All the other stuff doesn't matter @ this point.
Tim Talbot:
I wouldn't bother starting anything... leave it to others ;)
